IntraFi Personal Solutions

Managing larger cash balances doesn't have to mean managing multiple banking relationships. IntraFi Personal Solutions help you access expanded FDIC insurance coverage while keeping the convenience of working with a single trusted financial institution.

A Simple Approach to Greater FDIC Insurance Coverage.

Through ICS® and CDARS®, IntraFi Personal Solutions provide a secure way to manage larger deposits while maintaining liquidity and peace of mind. These solutions are designed for individuals who want enhanced protection without the complexity of opening accounts at multiple banks.

Benefits

  • Access multi‑million‑dollar FDIC insurance through a single banking relationship.
  • Choose solutions that support both liquidity needs and long‑term savings goals.
  • Maintain access to funds through ICS® or select from multiple CD term options through CDARS®.
  • Receive consolidated statements while continuing to work directly with one trusted bank.
  • Avoid the need to manage multiple banking relationships or collateral tracking.

ICS® places funds into demand deposit accounts or money market deposit accounts, while CDARS® places funds into certificates of deposit. Deposits are distributed among participating institutions in amounts below the standard FDIC insurance limit, helping provide expanded FDIC coverage while maintaining a single banking relationship.
IntraFi Personal Solutions may be a good fit for individuals with larger cash balances who want enhanced deposit protection, convenient account management, and flexible options for accessing funds.
Citizens Independent Bank can help you determine whether ICS®, CDARS®, or a combination of both aligns with your financial goals and liquidity needs.

When deposited funds are exchanged on a dollar-for-dollar basis with other institutions that use ICS, our bank can use the full amount of a deposit placed through ICS for local lending, satisfying some depositors’ local investment goals or mandates. Alternatively, with a depositor's consent, our bank may choose to receive fee income instead of deposits from other participating institutions. Under these circumstances, deposited funds would not be available for local lending. Deposit placement through CDARS or ICS is subject to the terms, conditions, and disclosures in applicable agreements. Although deposits are placed in increments that do not exceed the FDIC standard maximum deposit insurance amount (“SMDIA”) at any one destination bank, a depositor’s balances at the institution that places deposits may exceed the SMDIA (e.g., before settlement for deposits or after settlement for withdrawals) or be uninsured (if the placing institution is not an insured bank). The depositor must make any necessary arrangements to protect such balances consistent with applicable law and must determine whether placement through CDARS or ICS satisfies any restrictions on its deposits. A list identifying IntraFi network banks appears at https://www.intrafi.com/network-banks. The depositor may exclude banks from eligibility to receive its funds. IntraFi and ICS are registered service marks, and the IntraFi hexagon and IntraFi logo are service marks, of IntraFi Network LLC.
