President & CEO
Brad is a graduate of the University of Minnesota, Minnesota Banking School at St. Olaf College and the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wisconsin. He has been with Citizens Independent Bank since 1982 and began his duties as President & CEO in 1998. Bakken is an advocate for encouraging employee growth both personally and professionally and is personally involved in numerous community organizations and trade associations including:

A medical technologist by profession, Connie Bakken began her third career with the purchase of Citizens Bank at age 56. Connie says that her biggest business accomplishment has been the growth of Citizens Independent Bank, which she purchased in 1980. At that time, Citizens had two locations and assets of $44 million. Today, there are four offices and assets exceed $304 million.
Connie is a supporter of many community programs and non-profit organizations. Currently, she is a Trustee at Hamline University and a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners.
